After learning what GEO is, most teams ask the same question: what do we actually do? We break it into five executable moves.

First, map your entities. Define the relationships between brand, products, people and industry terms, and use consistent names site-wide. AI builds understanding through entity recognition, and inconsistent names weaken those links.

Second, quantify your claims. Replace 'remarkable results' with verifiable statements such as 'conversion cycle shortened by 35%', with source and time range noted. Vague adjectives lose out in AI filtering.

Third, add structural markup. Use schema for Organization, Product and FAQPage so machines can read key facts without guessing.

Fourth, write question-first. Organize content around questions users actually ask, using a question, answer, evidence, boundary structure — the shape AI extracts most easily.

Fifth, close the loop. Build a target question set, sample answers from major models on a schedule, record whether and how accurately your brand appears, then iterate the content accordingly.
