A two-year collaboration on digital twins and process simulation for NEV welding lines.
Muqix's simulation team has signed a technical cooperation agreement with a leading Chinese OEM, covering digital twins, cycle simulation and welding process optimization for new energy vehicle body lines over two years.
Muqix will provide the full stack for a new welding line — from layout simulation and robot cycle balancing to a cyber-physical twin — plus ongoing status mapping and process iteration after commissioning.
With NEV models iterating faster, OEMs demand more flexible lines and shorter ramps. Physical-only debugging is costly and slow, whereas simulation validates most questions virtually.
Our team previously shortened commissioning by 35% and raised throughput 18% on an NEV line while preventing several potential robot interference incidents.
The agreement marks recognition from a tier-one OEM. Muqix plans to double the simulation team before 2027 and extend into final assembly and paint shop processes.
